Anyway I've made some changes and my version is

https://sites.google.com/site/livecycledesignercookbooks/home/FF143-0-1%20Requisition(BRUCE%20v1.0).pdf?attredirects=0&d=1.

I've changed your data so that it is now has separate elements for the part number and units (at least that's what I thought they were, but serves as an example). So in the click event of the CountryList object there is some code to populate two other fields.

txtItemNo.rawValue = result.PartNumber.value;
numUoM.rawValue = result.Units.value;

The txtItemNo I just added so the sample had a text field to populate.

I have only changed a few records to the new format, so it is really quick, but I have used this method with thousands of records before, though maybe the values were not so long, but we should be able to speed it up.

Anyway, if I'm on the right track contact me via https://forums.adobe.com/people/BR001_ACP, include an email address and we can continue directly.
BR001https://www.blogger.com/profile/02005650446661555680noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7970679050025899967.post-20683846005644126602016-05-24T10:24:04.881-07:002016-05-24T10:24:04.881-07:00I am very glad that I found your article because i...I am very glad that I found your article because it is helping me solve a problem for a friend of mine. He is a logistics manager for a federal task force team and we were discussing the use of PDF forms. He asked about what your article specific addresses but I have been having some trouble implementing it into the form. I will include the link to what I have so far but my problem is that I need (4) total description fields that pull from the same list of items in the searchable list box. I also do not know if there is a better way to embed this into the form so that it performs a little bit faster. The other issue is that I would like to scroll through the list box of suggestions but when I click in the box it commits to that selection. Any suggestions? Th...Hi, I'm pleased you found the same useful. The country data is stored in the data connection (the Countries.xml file above). It sounds like you want the control to be self contained so I have created another version that stored the country data under the extras tag of the drop down list. You can just copy the subform to your form. The updated sample is https://sites.google.com/site/livecycledesignercookbooks/CountriesV2.Extras.pdf?attredirects=0&d=1.

Note: The list of countries may need to be updated. I have forgotten were I got the list from but it was some time ago. I have used this method for a lot of lists but never an actual country list (except for this sample).BR001https://www.blogger.com/profile/02005650446661555680noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7970679050025899967.post-2115864535924631502014-07-08T02:56:03.909-07:002014-07-08T02:56:03.909-07:00Great form this is exactly what I need.
